I am so excited to start 2021 – 2020 was pretty rubbish but one of the positives that came out of it was that we realised as a family just how important getting outside in nature is for our physical and mental wellbeing, We always knew it, but like most people, we were pretty rubbish at actually getting outside! Then we realised that all we needed to do was to write ourselves a curriculum of activities.(We have an education background – Nursery nurse, SEN specialist, TA and teacher between us – so we have ideas and we’ve also been involved in Guiding so outdoor fun is really second nature.) Oh how much fun we had putting together ideas that are educational without having to link to the National Curriculum!
We started sharing some ideas on our Facebook page Mud Larks and got some good feedback, so we decided that our ideas might help other people – we are teachers so we love to help! There’s a New Year Challenge on our group page Mud Larks Community. We’d love you to join in – there are even some prizes for a prize draw for those who complete the challenge. What do you think – would that be a good start to 2021?
